What Happens When My Service Expires?

Service Expiry — What to Expect

Understanding what happens when a service reaches its expiry date helps you plan renewals and avoid disruption.

7 Days Before Expiry

Your server card in the My Servers dashboard shows a yellow Renew Soon badge. An Invoice button appears so you can download the renewal invoice and pay in advance.

On the Expiry Date

The server status changes to Expired in your dashboard. The service remains technically active for a short grace period (usually 48–72 hours) while we attempt to contact you.

After the Grace Period

If the service is not renewed, it is suspended. A suspended server cannot be accessed but your data is preserved. You have 14 days to renew before data deletion.

Data Deletion Warning

After 14 days of suspension with no renewal or contact from you, the server is decommissioned and all data is permanently deleted. This cannot be undone.

How to Renew

  1. Go to My Servers
  2. Click Renew Now on the expired server card
  3. Complete checkout — your expiry date is extended from today and the server is reactivated

Your IP address, OS, and all data are preserved during suspension. Renewing restores full access.
